Performing along the west coast, internationally and now based out of San Diego, Steve Aman is an experienced musician who has contributed piano, keyboard, vocals, percussion and arrangements to many music projects.  He has toured internationally with Ural Thomas and the Pain where they performed on BBC's 'Later... with Jools Holland.'

As an accompanist he has worked with several music therapy choirs in Portland, OR, including Sing Here Now, a choir dedicated to those experiencing early stages of  Alzheimer’s disease, a new music program for female inmates at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, and served as choir director at the Maybelle Center for community in Old Town for two years.

In addition to contributing to bands and choirs, Steve has maintained a full student workload teaching both young beginners to advanced musicians.  In 2019 he opened Hi-note Music, a small, neighborhood music school in Portland, OR.  There he and his colleagues are always striving to create a meaningful musical experience for all of their students. Hi-note's rock band classes and camps provide youth the opportunity to learn and collaborate creatively with other young musicians.  In addition, he has partnered with Rigler Elementary's SUN school where he has created a drumming class made possible through Regional Arts and Culture Council grants.
